Free cloud identity service for small businesses

Ping Identity has introduced PingOne for Groups, a cloud-based identity service that provides employees in small businesses with secure and controlled access to a variety of applications – with single-sign-on with just one click for authentication. The service can be subscribed free of charge for up to 5 applications and 50 users.

With the Cloud Identity service “PingOne for Groups” Ping Identity employees receive in small and medium-sized companies or departments of large companies the opportunity to access with just one click on various applications – via single sign-on secure and controlled for authentication. The service is available for subscription for up to 5 applications and 50 users free of charge.

PingOne for Groups is powered by Ping Identity’s PingOne Cloud Identity Management Service, providing organizations with the security and control they need . The installation takes only a few minutes, it is also possible to upgrade to PingOne for Business or PingOne for Enterprise.


PingOne for Groups supports single sign-on for employees, but also customers and partners can be involved. Simple, secure, and free to use, businesses of all sizes can take advantage of the time and cost savings of single sign-on. Ping Identity provides its federated federation and access management solutions around the world, ensuring that solutions can scale with customers’ changing needs.

“Many small and medium-sized businesses can not spend large sums on managing location-based Identity Access Management (IAM) systems,” said Andras Cser, Forrester’s vice president of research. “Even large companies are considering giving up because of high license and support costs and too long implementation time.”

According to Roger Oberg, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management Ping Identity, PingOne for Groups is well-suited for popular applications such as Salesforce , Google, Dropbox, Office365, and WebEx.

Versions of the Cloud Identity Management Service:

PingOne for Groups offers unlimited, free single sign-on for up to 5 applications and 50 users, basic and federated single sign-on, centralized user access management and easy user administration.

PingOne for Business offers paid single sign-on for an unlimited number of applications and for up to 1,000 users. The solution is based on PingOne for Groups and integrates easily and securely in the existing user directory. The Business Edition can be integrated with Microsoft Active Directory or as an identity bridge via OpenID with Google Apps for Business and offers multi-factor authentication.

PingOne for Enterprise allows paid single sign-on for an unlimited number of applications and users. It represents a complete and automated identity management system. The Enterprise version includes all PingOne features, enabling location-based identity store integration (AD / LDAP / DB / WAM) and user provisioning.

All PingOne products include the CloudDesktop, a custom portal that enables one-click access to applications from any device and provides the administrator with a tool to manage user access.
